- Today we begin our unit about schools, so we will begin by exploring school systems throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
- For each picture that I show you, write down at least 1 thing that strikes you; it could be a similarity or different that you see between the country we are looking and the United States, or simply something that you found interesting or shocking.
We will read an article about La escuela secundaria.

- Once you have completed the reading, write a 4-5 sentence reflection on the article.
- We will then discuss the article as a class and you will reflect on the following question:

- What do you think of the Mexican school system and how it differs from that of the U.S.?
- Do you feel privileged to be a student in a US school or would you prefer to attend school in a different country? Why?
